BEE RULES

1. BEE is dedicated to the promotion of intercultural understanding through student exchange. BEE is responsible for the safety and welfare of the students throughout the program and expects the highest standards of behavior, manners, and etiquette from program participants at all times. Our aim is to ensure that the student's stay abroad
is as happy, secure, and as successful as possible. The following rules and regulations have been established to reach these goals. Violation of these rules will lead to disciplinary action. In the event of law-breaking or serious misbehavior, the student's visa will be revoked leading to dismissal from the program and return to the home country at the expense of the student's parents.
a. Students will not buy, sell, possess or use any controlled or illegal drug unless prescribed and approved by a physician.
b. Students will not commit or take part in any act of violence.
c. Shoplifting and all forms of theft are illegal and forbidden.
d. Students will not drive.
e. No student may hitchhike or solicit a ride from a stranger.
If the student is judged to have broken any of these rules or any of the current local, state, provincial or
national laws of a similarly serious nature, the student's visa will be revoked, they will be dismissed from
the program, resulting in the student's early return home.

2. Cultural exchange students are ambassadors for their country, community, and school. As such, the highest
standards of responsibility and behavior are expected.
· Students are expected to be active members of the host family during the Exchange year. They will treat the members of their host family and their property with respect. Students will be responsible for a reasonable amount of chores and will follow all reasonable rules of the household where they live. If a student disobeys the household rules, punishment should be the same as it would be for the host brothers and sisters
* No student is to consume alcoholic beverages, including beer or wine. If they have indicated they do not smoke they will not do so in the presence or on the property of their host family or in any other area designated non-smoking. They may not purchase tobacco products if they are under the age of 18
* BEE provides all students with an insurance policy covering accident and illness
* Under no circumstances will BEE students be allowed to lease or purchase an
automobile, motorcycle, or moped; or have someone else lease or purchase an
automobile, motorcycle, or moped for them. There are no exceptions to this
rule.
3. School attendance is mandatory unless a student is lit and under doctor's care. Students are expected to put
forth a strong effort in all classes. Failure to do so, and/or repeated complaints from the school regarding
attitude or behavior are grounds for dismissal from the program. Students are expected to assume a full
course load and maintain a C average in each class
4. The following are rules of behavior specific to BEE
* A student may not travel if it means missing school, unless the trip is a school-related activity. When traveling, a
student provide written documentation of who he is to be visiting and who will be responsible for his safety and
travel arrangements at the destination. The document must include name, address, phone and be signed by the
person who guarantees responsibility and is 25 years or older. BEE prohibits students from visiting their home
country while on our program, except in the case of death or serious illness of a family member. In accordance
with immigration regulations, exchange students are not permitted to accept paid employment. A student may,
however, work a minimal number of hours in a non-competitive position such as baby-sitting, doing yard work, or
tutoring
* A student may not enter into any kind of contractual agreement, be it business, religious, or marital. BEE cannot
be held responsible for any consequences in the event that a student becomes pregnant or is the cause of
pregnancy
* All students must arrive and depart as arranged by BEE
* If a student leaves the program during the exchange year, BEE will immediately
revoke the student's visa and advise the student that he/she is no longer able to
remain in the country as an exchange student.

BEE reserves the right to make decisions for a student in his/her best interest.
Students are required to BEE by the decisions made by BEE on the student's behalf
